You were a man of honor,
You were the warrior ,the hero in our hearts.
You have created goodwill between the nations...
You have brought hope and future to the nation.
You, together with other heroes,
have fought for the independence.
You were the leader among the Malays.
You were so active in the Malay Nationalist Movement,
You were the founder of UMNO,
as a means to rally the Malays
against Malayan Union.
You were clear that
there were bumpy roads which laid ahead,
but you never lost hope.
You were full of life and
you inspired and influenced the people around.
'FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE',
was once your call of duty.
You love the nation and
You were willing to give out your life.
Nevertheless,
along the way to Independence,
you were disgusted
what you considered to be UMNO's communalist policies,
and called for party membership to be opened to all Malayans,
and for UMNO to be renamed as the United Malayans National Organisation.
When Your recommendations went unheeded,
you chose to leave the party on August 26, 1951
and to form the IMP.
However, the IMP failed to receive sufficient backing from Malayans,
and eventually,
You left it to form the Parti Negara,
which placed membership restrictions on non-Malays
in an attempt to woo the Malays.
After that,
When the new coalition Alliance Party was formed and
was fully supported by the people,
You eventually eclipsed from political life.
The day You left,
You never said a word.
You left with disappointment and sorrows
because they did not understand you.
You were being accused.
At last, you left us forever after
our country has regained independence.
Although you have left your beloved country and your nation,
your spirit will live beneath us eternally.
Your will and your determination to fight for independence
will always be remembered.
